Quark Subatomic Particle Brooch

Alexander relishes the opportunity to create conceptual pieces, often inspired by his background in science.

The Quark Brooch is inspired by subatomic diffractions in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland. It features a central 23ct Tanzanite, Diamonds and other coloured gemstones set in Platinum and 18ct Yellow Gold.

The Quark Brooch won a Lonmin Design Innovation Award in 2012.

DNA Pendant

The DNA Sequence Pendant, featuring Diamonds, Sapphires and Amethysts in Platinum, uses a sample of the wearer's own genetic code to produce an order for the gemstones which represents the wearer's unique genetic sequence. Each DNA pendant is absolutely unique.

The DNA Pendant won a Lonmin Design Innovation Award in 2010.

Diadem Double Finger Ring

The Diadem Double Finger Ring features a Tanzanite set in Platinum with Diamonds, and is inspired by the opulent jewels of Medieval England.

Limelight Ring

The Limelight Ring was inspired by the theatre and the glamour of the red carpet. It features 6 diamonds set in Platinum inside lighting cannisters that can be angled in two different axes. In the centre there is a hexagonal mirror which reflects light through the back of the diamonds so they shine out like stage lights.

The Limelight Ring won a Lonmin Design Innovation Award in 2012.
